Nancy Paolino & the Black Tie Band is best when performing for groups that are diverse in age and background…creating a wonderful balance between elegance and fun. After interviewing hundreds of wedding experts, Modern Bride compiled a listing of the most popular and talented entertainers in the country. We have appeared on this list two years in a row! And we are very happy to have been chosen by the readers of The Knot Magazine as one of the "BEST PICKS" of 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011. Our latest press is from Rhode Island Monthly Bride publication. We are noted as "not just another wedding band" and "a wedding band that rocks."

You can also find our mention in a brand new book titled "Not My Mother's Wedding" written by one of our clients and her mom. Kate Brennan and Maureen Chapdelaine wrote a humorous story of surviving the generation gap as mother and daughter plan the perfect wedding. The best testament to any entertainer is a repeat performance. Over the years, we've had the absolute pleasure of becoming a fixture in certain families' celebrations. We have had the opportunity to perform for FIVE weddings that Joyce Riley has planned for her children. Then the Gannons, the Keatings, the McCleans and Twomeys are all tied at three weddings each. There are many clients that are working towards the record but for now, the Rileys have it!

We understand that you have many choices when selecting entertainment for your event. We always recommend that you research your bands of interest well. The Black Tie Band performs LIVE. There are bands that utilize pre-recorded tracks and "play along" with musical background in karaoke style. The Black Tie Band is a group of professional, full-time musicians that take pride in producing music in real time.

The BTB accepts only one booking per evening and would never dilute the band with "fill ins" to accomodate more than one event. Our players work together as a well rehearsed unit not as a group of musicians placed in a "custom taylored" ensemble. "Custom taylored," in this case, means utilizing musicians for an ensemble that may have never worked together before.

A live band can enhance an environment like nothing else. Great music never goes out of style. When the music is performed live with precision and energy – true to its original form – the experience becomes a memorable event.
